How to Enable Javascript
If you're seeing a message that your browser's javascript functionality is turned off, it's possible that you don't have javascript enabled in your browser. Below are listed browser-specific instructions on how to enable javascript.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
To enable javascript in Internet Explorer (6+):
- Go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
- In the Internet Options window, select the Security tab (at the top of the window).
- Under the Security tab, select the Internet Web content zone.
- Under Security Level for this zone:
If there is a slider bar, move the slider bar to Medium. Otherwise, if the security level is Custom:
- Click on the Custom Level button at the bottom of the page to open the Security Settings window.
- In the Security Settings window scroll down until you get to the section called Scripting (near the bottom).
- Under Scripting there is a category Active scripting, select the option marked Enable for this category.
- Click the OK button.
Mozilla Firefox
To enable javascript in Firefox:
- Select the Firefox option from the Firefox menu bar and then click Preferences
- Click the Content tab in the preferences menu
- Check the Enable Javascript box
Chrome
To enable javascript in Chrome (PC):
- Click the Tools menu
- Select Options
- Click the Under the Hood tab.
- Click Content settings in the Privacy section.
- Make sure Allow all sites to run JavaScript is selected.
To enable javascript in Chrome (Mac):
- Click the Tools menu
- Select Options
- Click the Under the Hood tab.
- Click Content settings in the Privacy section.
- Make sure Allow all sites to run JavaScript is selected.
Safari
To enable javascript in Safari:
- Go to the Safari drop-down menu.
- Select Preferences.
- Click Security in the top panel.
- Under 'Web Content' select the option 'Enable JavaScript'
